Grading Syllabus and Belt system
The minimum training duration between Kyu grades is 5-6 months, this is because there are only 5 Kyu grade before 1st Dan, and due to the high standard required to achieve each grade.
5th Kyu - Yellow Belt
4th Kyu – Orange Belt
3rd Kyu – Green Belt
2nd Kyu – Blue Belt
1st Kyu – Brown Belt
1st Dan – Black Belt
The minimum training duration between 1st Kyu and 1st Dan is 6-8 months
Kyu Grade Syllabus will consist of;
Suburi – demonstrating the various cuts and angles
Ashisabaki – demonstrating the correct footwork
Zenshindo Kata – Ushiro ashi and mae ashi
Batto-Jutsu – drawing techniques
Kumitachi – Partner work
Each element getting progressively harder, with more detail, as the Student progresses through the ranks.
Tamishigeri – Test cutting is required for Shodan grading
